We are not liable for ancillary costs (e.g., accommodation, travel) incurred by guests.
Rescheduling
Guests may request to reschedule a booking with at least 7 days' notice. One complimentary reschedule is permitted per booking, subject to availability. Subsequent changes may incur a S$100 administrative fee.
6. Guest Responsibilities
- Guests are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical condition to participate in the chosen charter activity, including snorkelling and water sports.

- Guests must comply with all instructions given by the captain and crew at all times.
7. Safety and Conduct
The captain holds final authority over all decisions relating to safety, navigation, and guest behaviour aboard the vessel. selatbena reserves the right to terminate a charter and return to port if:
- A guest's conduct endangers the safety of others or the vessel;
- Conditions at sea pose an unacceptable risk to crew or passengers;
- A guest refuses to follow safety instructions.
In such cases, no refund will be issued. Guests who are intoxicated to the point of impairment may be denied boarding at the captain's discretion.
Life jackets and safety equipment are provided. Guests are required to follow the safety briefing given before departure.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the selatbena website — including text, photography, vessel descriptions, itinerary designs, and the selatbena name and logo — is the property of selatbena and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.
Photographs and videos taken by guests aboard our vessels may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes. We ask that any social media posts featuring the vessel or crew tag selatbena where possible.
9. Disclaimers
Our services are provided in good faith based on prevailing sea and weather conditions at the time of the charter. We do not represent that:
- Specific marine wildlife will be observed during reef tours;
- Any particular anchorage or destination will be accessible;
- Weather or sea conditions will match those at the time of booking.
selatbena's crew are experienced maritime professionals, but sailing involves inherent variability that is beyond our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, selatbena's liability to any guest arising from a charter — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total amount paid for that charter.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of income, missed connections, or costs arising from itinerary changes due to weather or safety conditions.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
Indemnification
Guests agree to indemnify selatbena against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from their own negligence, misconduct, or breach of these Terms while aboard.
11. Dispute Resolution
Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or related to a selatbena charter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
Informal resolution
We encourage guests to raise concerns with us directly before pursuing formal proceedings. Most matters can be resolved through a straightforward conversation. Please write to us at [email protected] with your concern and we will respond within 5 working days.
12. Changes to These Terms
selatbena may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The "last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Bookings confirmed prior to any update remain subject to the Terms in effect at the time of booking.
Continued use of the website or submission of new booking enquiries after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
